Between November 27th and December 1st, Nevo Parudimos organized the online training TAAO – Together Against Antigypsism, where we started from the pyramid of hate to better understand how discriminatory behaviors escalate and why it’s so important to intervene early. The course was dedicated to journalists, influencers, and young Roma who want to help create a safer and more respectful online space.

We spent a few energetic and insightful days exploring topics such as online hate, the cycle of hate, advocacy, antigypsyism, what the antigypsyism law actually provides, how effective it is in practice, and relevant public policies. We also worked in teams, racing against the clock, with each group presenting its own advocacy action proposal.
A very practical moment was learning how to report a case of online hate against Roma people on various platforms. New participants got to see the process step by step, while those of us who had been involved longer explained exactly how to fill in the Google Forms report and which details are essential for an effective submission.
Beyond all this, we had honest discussions about the reality faced by Roma people experiencing discrimination, especially those from marginalized areas. The training brought us closer together, gave us courage, and fueled our determination to keep fighting against online hate.
Thank you to all participants for your involvement, your amazing energy, and for being so motivated to make a change in the communities you come from!
